Orazio Gentileschi at the Court of Charles I - G. Finaldi

Catalogue of the exhibition held March to May 1999 in London followed by shows in Bilbao and Madrid. Text in English. Co-organised with the National Gallery, London and the Prado in Madrid, the exhibition covered the late period of Italian painter Orazio Gentileschi (1563-1639), when he worked in and for the court of Charles I of England. From this period comes "Lot and His Daughters", now in the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum collection. The exhibition comprised ten works from this major disciple of Caravaggio and was on one of the first completely devoted to his works.
